Leeds Castle welcomes visitors through the main entrance on Broomfield Road, marked by iron gates and flanked by traditional lodge houses. This leads to the Visitor Centre and main car park. Access to the castle itself is via a cobbled drawbridge, with a step-free ramp available for wheelchair users. Inside the castle, a wheelchair lift is provided, and manual wheelchairs are available on request. A free mobility transport service operates across the estate, and the seasonal Black Swan Ferry Boat offers accessible return journeys across the Great Water.
Arrive early, ideally before 10:00am, to experience the castle and grounds at a more relaxed pace. The last entry to the castle is at 4:30pm, so plan to arrive before then. Some attractions, including the maze, adventure golf, and Bird of Prey Centre, may close earlier than the castle, often by 5:00pm.
