Light of Creation

That was awesome!!! Maybe show the older visitors how to turn off the flash on their cell phones! But other than that, it's definitely worth the experience.

Our experience was wonderful from start to finish. Everything was well organized, and the light show inside the church was absolutely breathtaking. It was a unique and unforgettable evening that we will always remember. Highly recommended!

It was Friday afternoon when I learned that my adult son would not be able to join me for a weekend in Vienna as planned. Since I was already there, my first thought was “I am stuck there alone for 2 days”. At first, it was very dissappointing as we had both been looking forward to it for quite some time. However, I quickly reasoned that being in Vienna for a weekend in early summer, on my own and without needing to adjust my plans to anyone else, is not being “stuck” – it is actually a proper getaway :) So I started planning from scratch, as the original plans were more about keeping the younger generation entertained than about me. That’s when I came across information about Light of Creation in Votivkirche on the Headout site. The description was clear, the location easy to find, and booking was simple – you just need to show your confirmation email at the entrance of Votivkirche and exchange it for a paper ticket. (I did briefly wonder whether they might not recognize a third-party booking but everything worked perfectly.) During those two days I managed to see and do a lot – including a concert in Karlskirche, rooftop lunches, long walks around the city, visits to Hundertwasserhaus and the Prunksaal, and even the pride parade. All of it was wonderful, but Light of Creation will remain the highlight of the trip. The experience of this event is difficult to fully capture in words. I can only say that it is truly “immersive,” exactly as described, and absolutely beautiful. While it is certainly well suited for families and couples, it is also a perfect experience for an unexpectedly-solo traveller :)

Easy entry with no lines, start at the scheduled time, pleasant temperature, good seating. A beautiful presentation with a high level of technical quality.

A fantastic light and sound installation that brings the creation of the universe and our planet to life in a unique way.

The staff was fantastic, the show was incredible, the music was almost perfect, either category 1 or 2 seats will be well placed to enjoy the awesome light show. 100% Recomend.

The fusion of the lighting effects with the original music composed by Adam Lukas is absolutely unique and fantastic. The choreography of the production, which explores the theme of creation, is truly admirable. The artists have succeeded in creating something that is virtually impossible to top.

I cannot believe I was almost going to skip this experience even after booking it! It was worth every pennt, I was completely enthralled during the show, the theme, the location, the light and sound effects were very well thoughtout and would leave you speechless by the amazing choreography of light and sound expressing the creation of everything through the millennial. Lastly the entry and everything was quite straightforward, just the qr code and app and take your designated seat to enjoy the show. I highly recommend it and personally would do it again next time I am in Vienna
