Very easy to buy tickets, although I was not able to take advantage of the 10% I got. The convent is beautiful. But in my opinion it could cost a tad less. There is only the outside porch tour to do.View original review in Italian

The Monastry was breath-taking! Absolutely stunning - the intricate stone carving inside the Monastry is a marvel. I was there in January, and I went at opening time on a week day morning so it was relatively quiet compared to peak season. However, with my prepaid ticket I was able to walk straight in without any queueing. Excellent :)

The visit to the Jerónimos Monastery in Lisbon was great. We went around 16:00 and there was very little queue and it went quite fast. The places to visit are spectacular and at that hour the sunlight is wonderful. The cloister is to stay there for a long time contemplating its beauty, from above and below. The last thing we visited was the church, without a queue... a pity that it was badly covered by restoration, which is also necessary, of course. The site is absolutely magnificent. Allow plenty of time to visit, as it's good to be able to soak up the sights without feeling rushed. It's always nice to be able to stroll around the area too (have a coffee in the small adjoining park, and browse the decorative stores in the vicinity). Belém Tower
The Tower consists of 4 stories: the Governor's Room, Kings' Room, the Audience Room, and the vaulted chapel. Dive right into exploring this UNESCO Heritage-listed monument and its historic role. With its limestone foundation and traditional medieval architecture, the most noticeable elements are the twisted ropes that wind around the building – ending in elegant knots – armillary spheres, crosses of the Order of Christ, and other Gothic features. Belém Tower was built not only to protect the port of Lisbon but also the Jerónimos Monastery.

With the 2nd half of your ticket, soak up the different elements that make up this stunning model of Manueline architecture infusing Gothic, Moorish, and Renaissance styles. The two levels of cloisters are so intricate and filled with structural detail that they took a hundred years to be completed.
Spot mythical creatures like gargoyles and marine animals within the carvings, columns, and arches. Don’t miss the vaulted ceilings on the lower level of the monastery or the views from the higher level of the adjacent Church of Santa Maria de Belém.
