The Story
Jeremy Heere is a high school junior who is a social outcast. Jeremy is harassed and bullied by the popular Rich Goranksi, and has a rough life at school. Jeremy is infatuated with Christine Canigula, a theatre lover, and sees her signing up for school plays. He then decides to sign up as well, hoping to become friends with Christine. Mr. Yeyes, the drama teacher, informs the cast members that they are performing a rendition of A Midsummer Night’s Dream set in a post-apocalyptic future. After rehearsals, Rich confronts Jeremy in the bathroom and tells him the secret to his rise in popularity in school was with the help of a pill called a “super quantum unit Intel processor” - or a SQUIP. He suggests that Jeremy also buys one to become cooler. Will the SQUIP help Jeremy become more socially accepted and get him the girl of his dreams?
