It has been nominated for two Olivier Awards and has been extremely successful for more than 10 years in London. The musical boasts of a cast of more than 30 stunning performers that have won the hearts of countless crowds through their mindblowing dance performances. Fame stars Keith Jack, who is famous for coming in second on the BBC1 show, Any Dream Will Do. It also stars the talented, chart-topping Mica Paris, whose debut album, So Good, went platinum.
The Story
Fame the Musical traces the lives and struggles of a group of students who study at New York’s High School of Performing Arts. It deals with the issues of pride, identity, prejudice, sexuality, perseverance, and substance abuse that teenagers face in their early years. Right from the opening song, "I PRAY I MAKE P.A." to the intense finale, this production is full of color and energy. It uses large set pieces that make a great platform for the spectacular dance sequences in this lively show. The show also features some of the best music in theatrical productions this year.
