Why watch Jack and the Beanstalk: What a Whopper!
From the cheeky minds behind Sleeping Beauty Takes A Prick get ready for a wildly naughty and hilariously outrageous pantomime adventure—strictly for grown-ups! The show promises laughter so hard you’ll lose your stockings. After his unforgettable turn as Queen Gertrude, the irrepressible Matthew Baldwin (“wonderful as ever” – Time Out) is back, bringing his outrageous charm to Dame Trott. Featuring songs by Jon Bradfield, direction by Andrew Beckett, and produced by Oli Sones for He’s Behind You Ltd, this panto is naughty, magical fun—just not for the kids. Book your tickets today!
The story
Jack Trott’s luck is as low as his love life—he’s dirt poor, very gay, and hopelessly single, living with his mum on a crumbling dairy farm, far from any dating action. When he trades their precious cow for some mysterious beans, his unimpressed mum chucks them into the compost heap. But by morning, they’re staring at a towering stalk—massive, thick, and definitely not your average plant. Now the big question looms: is there a giant up there, and is he... in proportion?
