The Story

Les Misérables follows the story of Jean Valjean, a peasant convicted for stealing a loaf of bread to feed his sister’s famished kid. After 19 years in prison, Valjean decides to live his life anew. A bishop deeply inspires him and sets him on the road to redemption. Valjean must now elude a police inspector named Javert who is intent on bringing him to justice. He meets many interesting characters along the way, and all of them are unexpectedly swept into the fray of a revolution that shakes the very foundations of France. Everything was smooth from booking the tickets to entering the show. However, my chair was a bit loose and tilted to the front. I tried the one beside it it was firm and balanced. And it didn't help that two really tall couples sat infront of of me and i couldn't see kpst of the show. :( The play intself was beautiful.

I am not a particular fan of musicals but the quality of the show is outstanding. The actors, sets & lighting on stage make it a fabulous occasion. Well worth a visit!!

Incredible. To constantly whisper "wow" without even realizing it. The vertically oriented theater, the choreography, the sets, the actors and their enchanting voices, the rendering compared to the book. Truly thrilling. For those who have seen the movie, the musical comes across as lighter and less sad and painful but nevertheless, touching and moving.

I had a good view from my seat, as advertised. The first half would have been better if people in the grand circle weren't talking so much. Most of us were grateful to the usher who announced during the interval that they needed to be quiet from then on. That worked to a great extent so it was good he had the courage to say it. The cast were fantastic for the most part.
