The Tony Award-winning revival of classic musical Oklahoma! is a dark, seductive, humorous, and captivating adaptation that you won't want to miss, and it's coming to the Wyndham's Theatre for a limited-run only so grab Oklahoma! tickets now!

  • Oklahoma! was the first musical penned by the famed pair Rodgers & Hammerstein. It forever altered the look of American musical theatre and was groundbreaking for its day. Now, more than 75 years later, Daniel Fish has reinvented the iconic musical for a new generation. The new Oklahoma!, which recently won the Tony Award for Best Musical Revival, is darker and sexier, with a more sinister edge to the characters. Fish's stripped-down remake of Oklahoma! reflects the savagery of America's great frontier. Oklahoma! tickets are selling out fast so book yours now.

  • The plot centres around Laurey Williams, a farm girl, and her courtship by two competitive suitors, cowboy Curly McLain and the fearsome farmhand Jud Fry, as they navigate the ups and downs of young love. Along the way, they must deal with the community's brutality, which threatens to destroy their ideal way of life. This new version of Oklahoma! removes the gloss and polish of past performances, allowing the story's depth and grit to come through, and is a must-see for every musical theatre enthusiast.

The website was easy to useand worked well. I downloaded the app to get my tickets. The only other suggestion I have would be to be able to download the tickets to my Apple wallet for ease of retrieval on show day. For some reason the ticket was not available off line so the QR code disappeared when I stepped into the theater forcing me to have to go to the box office and stand in line for a printed ticket.

The venue was fine, the actors, actresses, dancers and singers were excellent. I didn't like the modern take on the show. Was surprised that the house lights didn't go out for the majority of the show. Entertainers and audience became as one. Also, two segments of the show left everyone in the dark, even the exit signs disappeared, surely not appropriate. I thought for a few seconds that I had gone blind.
