Why You Should Watch The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time - Manchester
When a fifteen-year-old boy named Christopher finds his neighbor’s dog speared to death by a garden fork, he decides to follow the clues and find the killer. Christopher, much like Sherlock Holmes, is a genius in his own right, capable of solving incredibly complex mathematical problems and logical puzzles. Yet, as a teen suffering from Asperger’s syndrome, he finds it difficult to interpret and understand the emotion-driven behavior of the people around him. Although forbidden by his father, Christopher’s decision to venture out and solve the mystery soon turns into a voyage of self-discovery.
Winning numerous Olivier and Tony Awards, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time has always been an outstanding blend of lovable characters and riveting storytelling. The novel, which was published in 2003, has bagged over 17 literary awards across the world, including the coveted Whitbread Book of the Year Award. This fabulous production is adapted for the stage by Olivier Award-winning writer Simon Stephens and directed by Tony and Olivier Award-winning director Marianne Elliott.
