Why Watch The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time
A 15-year-old boy, Christopher discovers the dead body of his neighbor, Mrs. Shears’ dog, Wellington. Speared with a garden fork, Christopher is held under suspicion. Christopher, however, is innocent and is determined to solve the mystery of Wellington’s brutal murder. With an extraordinary mind that is extremely adept at math and not so much at everyday activities, can Christopher get to the bottom of the mystery? Without support from anyone, including his father, can Christopher face and beat the odds stacked against him?
Based on Mark Haddon’s famous novel, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is one of the most well-known productions in recent years. Having swept the Olivier Awards with 7 wins in its debut year, and an additional 5 Tony Awards during its Broadway premiere, the production won critical acclaim. Do not miss theater at its very best, as this production makes its way to Southampton’s Mayflower Theatre!
