Museum galleries
The 12 museum galleries are chronologically arranged in an inspiring manner, narrating the story of humanity with an artistic filter. Through an incredible collection of art installations, each of these 12 chapters unveils commonalities that have existed throughout the history of humanity.
Exhibitions
Louvre hosts 4 temporary exhibitions every year. These exhibitions are the result of a unique collaboration between Abu Dhabi and France. In partnership with 13 French Museum partners, Louvre Abu Dhabi will bring together exemplary art for visitors of the Middle East.

Discover the Arab world’s contribution to post-impressionism through Georges Hanna Sabbagh’s masterpieces. His unique cultural perspective bridges French and Egyptian art, offering a fresh take on family and identity in 20th-century Paris.
What to bring
- The galleries are set at a relatively cool temperature to protect the installations. You might want to consider carrying a stole/scarf, especially for kids.
- It is recommended to carry swimming clothes and a towel for the kayak tour.
What's not allowed
- Flash photography is not allowed in some areas with sensitive exhibits.
- Food and water are strictly prohibited inside the galleries.
- For security purposes, backpacks and luggage are not allowed inside the museum. You can deposit your belongings in the cloakroom provided.

- This experience is accessible by wheelchair and strollers. Wheelchairs and strollers are available upon request.
- The kayak tour is not suitable for children under 6, people with mobility impairments, and pregnant women.
