The entire exhibit was breathtakingly beautiful! I can't believe I was even seeing all those painting with my own eyes. Obviously the Mona Lisa was glorious but every other painting in that museum was just as equally extraordinary!Manuel

The experience the details are very painting. It was exquisite. I have no words to describe what I felt in the moment of watching every painting sculpture, and at the same time, getting educated on the history of each painting.Gennadij

The museum itself is an excellent example of the French desire for a modern self-image and at the same time the preservation and transmission of European culture. Unfortunately, the transition between the individual rooms is less successful. The navigation needs to be improved. Otherwise, if there is already a section on Islam, there should of course be a Jewish and Israeli section for historical and current reasons.View original review in GermanPasquale

We had to stand in a small line for admission, but nothing prohibitive. The audio guide gave us an organized tour, providing information about the main works in the museum.View original review in ItalianRenato

Arriving a few hours before closing gives you ample time to explore, as the last entry is one hour before closing, and seeing the highlights takes at least 2-3 hours.
What to expect
Start by prioritizing must-see works like the Mona Lisa, the Venus de Milo, or the Winged Victory of Samothrace, as shorter lines and fewer crowds make for a more enjoyable viewing experience. The evening lighting casts a different mood over the artwork, creating a unique perspective compared to daytime visits. If you prefer a thematic approach, focus on specific wings, such as the Egyptian Antiquities or the Renaissance paintings, rather than rushing through multiple sections.
Before leaving, step outside to admire the illuminated glass pyramid and the historic courtyard, offering a stunning view that perfectly caps off your nighttime visit.
