Step into the heart of Inca
Walk through the very paths once tread by Incan priests, nobles, and laborers as you explore Machu Picchu’s lower terrace. This 2.5-hour circuit grants you full access to the urban heart of the citadel, winding past the Main Plaza, Sacred Rock, Temple of the Sun, and even the stone quarries that once fueled Incan construction. Look closely—you might even spot the famed water mirrors, once used by Incan astronomers to reflect the heavens above. Between breathtaking ruins and sweeping valley views, this route balances history and scenery in one unforgettable journey.
Choose your adventure
This experience comes with two route options: Route 2-A (Classic Designed Route) and Route 2-B (Lower Terrace Route). Route 2-A takes you slightly higher for an elevated look at Machu Picchu before guiding you through key temples and ritual spaces. Route 2-B skips the climb and goes straight into the citadel for a deep dive into its ancient quarters. Whichever path you take, this is the most complete circuit inside Machu Picchu, offering a rich, immersive experience of the lost city of the Incas.
