Enjoy a surreal experience at one of the world's largest aquariums, the Uminonakamichi Marine World, with over 150 sharks and 10,000 species of colorful fishes. As an added bonus, get to see rare sea otters—only 8 of them exist in Japan. With over 70 water tanks and exhibits and an outdoor whale pool, this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Uminonakamichi Seaside Park

The Marine World is located within the Uminonakamichi Seaside Park, an educational conservation unit for marine life found in Kyushu, Fukuoka. It's awe-inspiring to see various sea creatures in tanks that mimic their natural habitats.

Marine Theater

You can also enjoy the Marine Theater, a show conducted in the dolphinarium with a seating capacity of over 1,400 people. Get to interact with the dolphins and the sea lions during the show. Additionally, there is an aqua live show where you can observe the marine life in the tanks at close quarters.

  • Closed on the first Monday of February and the consecutive next 2 days

March to November

  • Daily: 9:30am to 5:30pm

December to February

  • Daily: 10am to 5pm

Golden Week

  • Daily: 9am to 9:30pm
  • Your voucher will be emailed to you instantly.

  • Display the voucher on your mobile phone with a valid photo ID to exchange your physical ticket. Students must show a valid student ID.

Ticket Redemption Point

  • Fukuoka Airport International Terminal 1F HIS counter. (Opening hours 8:30-20:00)

  • Please go to the Fukuoka Airport International Line counter with QR code voucher to exchange your physical ticket, and then vsit the aquarium with your physical ticket.

  • Show your ticket at Marine World.

By Bus

  • The closest bus stop is Marine World Uminonakamichi(bus). It is a quick 5-minute walk to the attraction.

  • Board buses 21A, 21B to get you there.

By Train

  • The closest train station is Uminonakamichi Station. It is a quick 8-minute walk to the attraction.

  • Board Kashii Line to get you there.
