Travel back in time to 16th and 17th-century Florence to see the Medici Chapels, built as an extension to Brunelleschi's 15th-century church. It was constructed in honor of the Medici family, who were the patrons of the church, as well as the Dukes of Tuscany. See the crypt where several of these dukes lie alongside their wives. Marvel at the beauty of the Chapel of Princes, known for its octagonal floor and cupola designed by Buontalenti. The last and most popular part of the chapel is the New Sacristy, designed by Michelangelo himself and built at the start of the 16th century. This is where the tombs of Lorenzo and Giuliano de' Medici remain, and their mix of architecture and sculpture is considered one of the great masterpieces of the Italian Renaissance.
