About Moco Museum Amsterdam
Art lovers, prepare to have your mind blown by masterpieces at Moco Museum, a cool spot housed in a historic townhouse from way back in 1904. Get up close with iconic works by Warhol, Basquiat, Dali, and Banksy, and reflect on the evolution of modern and contemporary art!
Villa Alsberg was one of the first family homes on Museumplein between 1904 and 1939. It was later converted into a priest's house, then a law office, and finally, a museum.
The Moco museum was designed by Eduard Cuypers, the nephew of Pierre Cuypers, who designed the Rijksmuseum and Amsterdam Central Station.
The Moco Museum has the world's first museum exhibition of Banksy's street artworks, including over 50 original pieces.
You can interact with some of the installations at the Moco Gardens for a multi-sensory experience, including the Moco Boat Tour and Marc Ange’s Le Refuge.
You can rent the private mansion that houses the Moco Museum during evenings for gatherings and private events.
