Trrrrrring goes your alarm at 1 am. No time to waste: your trek up Mount Batur starts with a smooth ride to meet your expert guide. Before you know it, you're 1717 meters up the mountain, greeted by a sunrise so stunning, that it's worth every step. Your guide will tell you all about Batur while cooking a yummy breakfast for you, with fruit and eggs cooked atop volcano steam.

Explore the crater's steam vents, black sands, and lava fields—a testament to nature's power. On the way back, stop by a local coffee plantation. Sample delicious teas and coffees, and maybe even take your favorite flavors home.
