It did a very good job of showing all facets of life in the GDR. It wasn't much new for me, but it was interesting againView original review in GermanArianna

i think it was memorable because i really loved getting to know how the situation in Germany was during the last century, how people lived and faced the countless difficulties during the wartime.Sarah

The DDR museum is an interesting place to visit if you would like to find out what life was like during that time. There are interactive displays and films to watch. The tickets were easy to display on my phone. Just make sure you have one loaded for each member of your party as you need to scan them and enter through a turnstile one at a time.Heiko

Lots of exhibits to look at and very interactive. The typical East German flat was very interesting and entertaining.
Offering a unique experience for history enthusiasts, the DDR is one of Berlin’s most visited museums. Whereas in most museums you can only observe exhibits enclosed safely behind glass cases, DDR Museum follows the motto “history you can touch”. You can touch, hold and interact with exhibits that cover a wide range of topics from everyday life in East Germany to the Berlin Wall and the Stasi.
Enter and explore a fully furnished DDR-era apartment, where you are free to pull drawers, open cupboards, switch on the television, and more. Enjoy a fun, simulated family drive through prefabricated districts in an original Trabant P601 car. Check out the child-friendly Kindergarten installation, where your kids can experience the world they could have grown up in had they inhabited East Germany.
