The most heavenly of musicals, Sister Act, is coming to the Lyric Theatre QPAC.

Great for

Lovers of musicals | Theater fans | Comedy enthusiasts

  • Based on the iconic film starring Whoopi Goldberg and featuring original music by Tony® and 8-time Oscar® award-winner Alan Menken (Disney’s Aladdin, Enchanted, The Little Mermaid) and songs inspired by Motown, soul and disco, Sister Act is a heavenly musical that is joyous and uplifting in equal measures.

Starring Casey Donovan as Deloris Van Cartier, Genevieve Lemon as Mother Superior and Rhonda Burchmore as Sister Mary Lazarus, we are truly blessed with three of the most extraordinary talents to ever grace Australian stages. The musical has been nominated for 5 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, as well as a total of 6 Olivier Award nominations across the original West End season and the London revival season. A musical sent from above, Sister Act is a brilliant, must-see show which raises the spirits and warms the soul time after time.

    The story

Disco diva Deloris’ life takes a surprising turn when she witnesses a murder. Placed under protective custody she is hidden in the one place she shouldn’t be found – a convent! Encouraged to help the struggling choir, she helps her fellow sisters find their true voices as she unexpectedly rediscovers her own.

My mother who is elderly wanted to see Sister Act She absolutely loved the show the music & we had a good laugh I was going with mum and wasn't sure if I would like the show, as I couldn't remember seeing the movie But I had an amazing time and really enjoyed the show ! We had a really good laugh and left feeling really happy that I went ! My mum is 88 years old, very fragile and uses a walker. We need seating close to the wheel chair exit or at the end of an aisle (so mum doesn't fall on too many laps) But to see the shows and the enjoyment we get out of them is so important - feeling Happy We loved Sister Act, Grease, Wicked and the 2 times we seen Beauty & the Beast in the last 6-12 months Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you

I wouldn't book through head out again. Our session was cancelled due to cyclone. To get replacement took so much time - I believe head out was on a different time zone. Then had to pay $10 extra per ticket. I was in row 4 originally and when eventually changed we were in the back row for more expensive tickets. There were so many free seats I am not sure why. The. The show had the under study! Was really disappointed.

A wonderful high quality production. Puchase of the tickets was a pleasing experience and we were delighted at the seats were accessed, particularly given that I didn't look for tickets until a week before my the show and the perfomance must have been close to a sell out.

It was easy to get to, as I do not live in Brisbane, had some lovely cheese and biscuites and a wine, was seated in a great seat and enjoyed the performance very much.

The process was seemless even I didn't know at the time I was using Headout. However I phoned QPAC who confirmed that Headout are a trustworthy organisation to buy tickets through. The tickets were waiting for us at the box office just like they promised.
