Enjoy a tour to two medieval cities in the vicinity of Madrid, Toledo and Cuenca, famous for their cultural and historical heritage. The tour will start early in the morning, towards Cuenca. You’ll take a comfortable bus journey and cross the Madrid region into La Mancha. On arriving at Cuenca, you will go through the historic center, with the bilingual guide by your side. Discover the Castle, and catch some beautiful views of Huécar and Júcar gorges as you go down Trabuco Street. Pass by the Church of San Pedro, before arriving at the Plaza Mayor. Once the guided tour of this city is over, you will have some free time to explore the area. The hanging houses present a beautiful sight and are a great place to take some memorable photos.
The second stop of the tour is Toledo, through which the Tajo River flows. This city was home to Jews, Muslims, and Christians and you will get a chance to discover the remnants of these cultures throughout the historic city. Just on arriving at Toledo, you are free to explore some of the gastronomic specialties of the city. The guided walking tour will start at Plaza de Zocodover. From here, you will go through the city’s most famous spots, such as the Cathedral, Zalle Comercio, and Santa Maria la Blanca. Finally, you will stop at Mirador del Valle and can enjoy marvelous panoramic views of the city.
