New York Botanical Garden

The natural beauty spanning 250 acres in the middle of NYC is a great way to escape the city’s bustle. The New York Botanical Garden has a collection of 50 varying gardens and landscapes, with beautiful water features installed throughout the space, and hosts seasonal shows and exhibits, such as the Holiday Train Show, with model trains traveling through 175 miniature iconic New York landmarks. You can also take the tram tour to journey across the garden in about 30 minutes. It’s a narrated tour so you can learn more about the flora and special features of the garden on your visit.

NYC Edge Observation Deck

Begin on Level 4 with an immersive multimedia exhibit that uncovers the sustainable design and construction of Hudson Yards. Take the sky pod to zoom 1,100 feet above ground in just 52 seconds to enter the New York Edge Observation Deck. Step into the open air, lean against tilting glass walls, or stand on a transparent floor, to look 100 stories down at the city streets. Get to the Eastern Point to feel like you’re in the clouds. Climb the Skyline Steps on the upper level for an even more striking view.

The Cafe in the MYBG had the cutest most sweetest staff. I would recommend putting better signage up to say where the entrance is because it's a bit of a hassle to find. The staff was very sparce when we visited as well, so we weren't able to ask anyone.

Going to see the edge was amazing. The view and the ability to see landmarks such as the statute of liberty and the amazing skyline was phenomenol. We were able to see across to NJ and saw boats on the river having to go through some icy patches. The elevator was so quick we went from the third or fourth floor to the 100th floor in just a few minutes going about 20 mph. Even though it's "touristy" it was such a great experience. We went with two people who live in the city and they found it awesome too!

Because it was so cold, it was relatively quiet. Overall, the venue and experience are well done, relevant and the view exquisite
