Gorge-ous Views and Soaked Shoes at Cave & Terrapin Point
Take a leisurely stroll through Luna Island to the breathtaking Cave of the Winds. Descend 175 feet into the Niagara Gorge and navigate wooden walkways that lead right to the thrilling Hurricane Deck. Standing just feet from the Bridal Veil Falls, you'll feel the immense power of the water crashing down and the mist that surrounds you like a tropical storm. The Cave of the Winds is one of the premier show caves in the United States and, at 7,000 feet, it’s also one of the highest! After exploring the Cave, head to the Terrapin Point Observation Deck. From this vantage point, enjoy stunning panoramic views of Niagara Falls and the Three Sisters Islands, showcasing the upper rapids as the water races toward the Falls.
Boat, Mist, and a Whole Lot of Splash
Get ready for an exhilarating ride on the iconic Maid of the Mist. Before boarding, enjoy sweeping views from the Prospect Point Observation Tower, which stands 282 feet above the Niagara Gorge. On the Maid of the Mist, experience the full force of the Falls up close. This historic boat tour has been thrilling visitors since 1846, making it one of North America’s oldest attractions. Prepare to get a bit wet—the Maid of the Mist is famous for its splashy rides, but no worries! Rain ponchos are provided. And here’s a little tidbit: The name "Maid of the Mist" is inspired by a Native American legend about a young woman who journeyed to the Falls to appease the spirits of the waters.
