Het Casa Milà is een fascinerend architectonisch juweeltje en de audiotour werd zeer vakkundig gepresenteerd. Het was heel gemakkelijk om de tickets online te boeken.

Het was mijn eerste, maar zeker niet mijn laatste reis naar Barcelona😍 om minder stress ter plaatse te hebben. Om tijd en geld te besparen zou ik aanraden om de kaartjes in vorsus te kopen. Het is erg handig om de Casad in je eigen tempo te bezoeken met een audiogids.

Vooral interessant waren de museumstukken die uitleg gaven over de structuur van het gebouw en hoe Gaudi zich liet inspireren door natuurlijke vormen.

During your visit, see Gaudí’s extensive works at the Espai Gaudí exhibition. The Pedrera apartment lets you experience how a bourgeois family lived in Barcelona. Do not miss going to the rooftop of the building where you will be met by the distinctive corkscrew-style chimneys and a lovely view of Barcelona’s skyline.

Sant Pau Modernista

Cut past queues to enter the Sant Pau Modernista Site, a beautiful 19th-century attraction in Barcelona. Walk around this UNESCO World Heritage Site as you learn more about the site built by Lluis Domènech i Montaner by yourself. The hospital de Sant Pau functioned until 2009 and is a structure built in harmony with nature. Find an installation symbolizing a dragon on the upper floor, a tribute to the figure and work of Domènech.

The Art Nouveau architecture combined with manicured gardens and grand exhibitions makes for a pleasant visit. Go to the Sant Salvador Pavilion to see the exhibit that shows the impact this hospital had on the healthcare of Barcelona. Check out the colorful tiles, mosaics, statues, flowers, and trees that the architect believed helped patients quickly recover.
