Bangkok Temple Tour: A Cultural Odyssey
Embark on a captivating journey through the heart of Bangkok's rich cultural heritage on this tour. This meticulously planned experience ensures you make the most of your time in this vibrant city, providing an immersive exploration of its renowned temples and cultural landmarks.
What to Expect on Your Guided Tour
Your adventure begins at Wat Traimit, where you'll encounter a true marvel – the 5.5-tonne golden Buddha. This ancient masterpiece, dating back to the 13th century, stands at nearly 5 meters tall. Nestled in the heart of Chinatown, this temple offers a glimpse into Bangkok's rich history and devotion.
Next, you'll visit Wat Pho, the Temple of the Reclining Buddha. As you step into this vast temple complex, you'll be awe-struck by the 46-meter-long reclining Buddha, adorned with shimmering gold leaf. Wat Pho is not just a temple; it's a living testament to Thai culture and artistry.
Your journey culminates at Wat Benjamaborphit, the Marble Temple, one of Bangkok's best-known temples and a major tourist attraction. It was built from Carrara marble imported from Italy, hence came to be known as the Marble Temple. Today the temple lies on a large complex south of the Dusit Palace grounds. Inside the ordination hall is a Sukhothai-style Buddha statue named Phra Buddhajinaraja, cast in 1920 after the original in Wat Mahathat in Phitsanulok.
