Under vår siste reise til Spania besøkte kjæresten min og jeg Alhambra i Granada. Vi hadde forhåndsbestilt en guidet omvisning, noe som gjorde at vi slapp å stå i lange køer. Guiden vår var svært kunnskapsrik og ga oss en grundig innføring i stedets rike historie og intrikate arkitektur. Turen gikk gjennom Nasrid-palassene, Generalife-hagene og Alcazaba-festningen. Hvert område viste fantastiske eksempler på maurisk design, og Nasrid-palassene med sine detaljerte stukkaturer og Generalifes frodige hager etterlot et varig inntrykk. Alcazaba hadde panoramautsikt over Granada og Sierra Nevada-fjellene, noe som gjorde stedet enda mer forlokkende. Nasrid Palace and Medina
While many structures within the Nasrid Palaces have succumbed to time, some endure, including the Mexuar, once a prominent part of the palace, and the Court of Lions (Palacio de Los Leones), along with more private areas.
After exploring the Nasrid Palaces, accompany your guide to the Medina, a citadel featuring remnants of ovens, silos, cisterns, public baths, workshops, and residences of government officials, employees, and court servants, accessible via a challenging route.
