Guiden(e) og bussjåføren var alle fantastiske! Chambord var helt fantastisk, selv om selve slottet stort sett er tomt, med unntak av falske hjortehoder som representerer Frans I's historie og jaktferdigheter, moderne kunstinstallasjoner og en reproduksjon av teateret; det gjør at du kan fokusere på selve bygningen. Amboise var veldig kult, mye mindre og mer hjemmekoselig, med mer historiefortelling i utstillingene sammenlignet med Chambord, og noen eksepsjonelle utsikter over Loire; men byen er kanskje enda bedre enn slottet. Du kommer ikke til å kjede deg hvis du hopper over slottsturen. Personlig var Orléans den eneste delen jeg kunne ha klart meg uten. Besøket i Orléans fokuserte på to steder: katedralen og Jeanne d'Arcs "hjem". Selv om jeg synes budskapet med besøket var på sin plass, føltes det også overveldende og forhastet etter en så lang dag. Å besøke slottene uten problemer når vi først kom dit var bra. Viste billetten min og ble sluppet inn. Jeg liker å besøke steder i mitt eget tempo. Billettene ga meg det. Slottene er vakre!

Chaumont-sur-Loire Domain

The Domaine opens at 10am and closes at 8pm.

The Château opens at 10am and closes at 7pm (last admission is at 6:15pm).

Sep-Oct: Daily from 9am to 7pm.
