Guiden(e) og bussjåføren var alle fantastiske! Chambord var helt fantastisk, selv om selve slottet stort sett er tomt, med unntak av falske hjortehoder som representerer Frans I's historie og jaktferdigheter, moderne kunstinstallasjoner og en reproduksjon av teateret; det gjør at du kan fokusere på selve bygningen. Amboise var veldig kult, mye mindre og mer hjemmekoselig, med mer historiefortelling i utstillingene sammenlignet med Chambord, og noen eksepsjonelle utsikter over Loire; men byen er kanskje enda bedre enn slottet. Du kommer ikke til å kjede deg hvis du hopper over slottsturen. Personlig var Orléans den eneste delen jeg kunne ha klart meg uten. Besøket i Orléans fokuserte på to steder: katedralen og Jeanne d'Arcs "hjem". Selv om jeg synes budskapet med besøket var på sin plass, føltes det også overveldende og forhastet etter en så lang dag. Praktisk å bestille alle billettene. Overrasket over at Chambord må betale ekstra avgifter for audioguide-enheten, men Amboise krever ingen avgifter for guideenheten. Hadde vært bedre hvis guideenheten er inkludert for alle billettene

Getting There
By Car:
It is about 2 hours and 15 minutes drive from the center of Paris to Amboise.
By Train:
It is a 2.5- to 3-hour journey to travel by train from Paris to the Royal Castle of Amboise. Please note that it is a 17-minute walk from the train station (Gare d’Amboise) to the castle.

Your Royal Castle of Amboise Priority Entrance ticket is only valid for the date that is selected while booking.
