Elsket alt ved det bortsett fra ventingen på bussen! Dette er min andre undersøkelse, men vi likte opplevelsen så godt at vi ikke hadde noe imot å gjøre det igjen.

Muligheten til å være i forkant og godt synlig på steder i byen som vi kanskje ikke ville fått tilgang til hvis vi kjørte bil. Fantastisk!

Det var praktisk og enkelt. Sjåførene og folkene på holdeplassene var flotte. Bussen var ren og i god stand. Lydsporene kunne bruke litt oppdatering med mer informasjon og mindre musikk. Det er så mye å si om Washington DC for å fylle hullene. Jeg likte å høre om at bassenget hadde vært en sump og knytte det til uttrykket "drenering av sumpen". Det visste jeg ikke. Det er en lærerik opplevelse for mange barn (og voksne), så pakk den full av "Hvem visste det?"-øyeblikk og mindre musikk.

Jeg forstår at det er mye trafikk, og at bussene i Washington DC stopper kl. 16.30. Men ved Lincoln Memorial viser rutetabellen at bussen passerer omtrent hvert 20. minutt. Da jeg kom til oppsamlingsområdet, viste appen at det var 45-55 minutters ventetid, altså mer enn det dobbelte. Da jeg kom tilbake til Washington-monumentet for å bytte fra rosa til rød buss, hadde den siste bussen allerede kjørt, så jeg måtte gå tilbake til utgangspunktet. Å unngå en 20 minutters spasertur var en av hovedgrunnene til at jeg kjøpte billetten. Personen ved Washington-monumentet tilbød meg ingen andre løsninger og hadde en "åh vel, synd" holdning. 3/28 var en del av peak Cherry Blossom-tiden, så det var trafikk. Kanskje man kunne sette inn ekstra busser, forhåndsplassere noen busser for å unngå dobbelt så lang ventetid, eller forlenge rutetiden når det oppstår så store trafikkforsinkelser for å få folk tilbake til utgangspunktet.

Billettsalget gikk bra. Bussene var uregelmessige. Ventet i evigheter på Airand Space. Hadde en utmerket sjåfør. Hjelpsom og vennlig som plukket meg opp på holdeplass 13 i går rundt kl. 11.

Due to restrictions on the bus, pets (except ADA service animals)are not allowed onboard.
