Guiden var utmerket. Han kunne faget sitt godt og svarte på direkte spørsmål om katedralen i Sevilla og Giralda-tårnet som man kanskje ikke kunne forvente at han visste. Det var en virkelig bonus å kunne hoppe over køene (og det var veldig travelt i forkant av den hellige uken). Katedralen og Giralda-tårnet er vel verdt et besøk, og det er vel verdt å betale for den raske inngangen og guiden.

Diana, guiden vår, delte entusiastisk sin kunnskap om katedralen og Giralda med oss (en liten gruppe på 6 personer). Hennes historiekunnskaper ga oss en bedre forståelse av stedets utvikling, uten å være for lærd. Fremfor alt må du ikke glemme å klatre opp til toppen av Giralda. The keys that were presented to Fernando by the Moorish and Jewish communities when they surrendered to him are also housed here.

As you explore the vast cathedral, make note of the side walls that are lined with chapels dedicated to the many saints and important figures associated with this cathedral. Finally, climb to the top of La Giralda, the majestic Moorish minaret that now functions as the cathedral's bell tower, and take in gorgeous views we guarantee you won't forget for years to come.

For group sizes bigger than 10 people, you will be given individual radio guide rentals to keep up with your tour guide at all times.

Children under the age of 14 must always be accompanied by an adult within the premises.

The cathedral will be closed off to visitors from Dec 4 to Dec 7, 2024 due to a congress. The tour of the cathedral will be restricted to the Eastern third of the church where a temporary exhibition called "Fons Pietatis" will be taking place. The rest of the building, the main chapel, and the Columbus Tomb will also be closed off.
