Getting started
Your visit begins with direct access to the Trianon Estate, a retreat built for the French royals. Upon arrival, pass through a security check where ID and ticket validation are required.

Trianon Estate – The Royals’ Private Retreat
A secluded escape within Versailles, the estate includes palaces, gardens, and hidden gems where monarchs sought privacy.
- Grand Trianon: A pink marble palace known for its lavish First Empire furnishings and Napoleon’s period of residence.
- Petit Trianon – Marie Antoinette’s elegant private retreat, surrounded by intimate gardens and refined interiors.
- Queen’s Garden: An English-style landscape with rolling hills, rare trees, a pond, and decorative structures.
- Queen’s Hamlet: A rustic village with thatched-roof cottages, a lake, a working farm, and a charming mill.

- Guide dogs are allowed upon presentation of proof.
- Toilet facilities around the palace.

Additional information
- From July 2 to September 8, early opening at 10am.
- You may experience some waiting time at the security check at the entrance of the Estate
- Pick up an Estate of Trianon leaflet for free at the entrance.
- To make the most of your visit—the Gardens are open from 8am, the Estate of Trianon from noon, the Gallery of Coaches, and The Royal Tennis Court at 12:30pm.

From Paris Montparnasse train station, SNCF trains arrive at Versailles Chantiers station, an 18-minute walk to the Chateau
