Why Watch Phantom of the Opera
Why Watch Phantom of the Opera
Having won the hearts of West End and Broadway audiences for 35 and 34 years respectively, this phenomenal interpretation of Gaston Leroux’s novel is undoubtedly one of the world's favorite musicals. Witness the heart-tugging tale of the enigmatic masked man who lives underneath the Paris Opera House, and the beautiful young singer who becomes his muse and obsession. Brought to life by the opera's top talents and accompanied by the orchestra hidden beneath the stage, the show is performed on a floating stage as the Sydney Opera House, the Harbour Bridge, and the city forms a glorious background.
The musical is made all the more impactful by Andrew Lloyd Webber’s immortal score, including haunting melodies like ‘The Music of the Night’ and ‘All I Ask of You’. Director Simon Phillips and designer Gabriela Tylesova, two of Australia's most sought-after theatrical talents, pull out all the stops to create a fantastic spectacle of the show's most defining moments, such as the journey to the Phantom’s lair.
With fireworks lighting up the evening sky, and a number of themed pop-up bars and restaurants to choose from, your visit will be an experience you will never forget.
