The place is magnificent and the exhibitions of paintings and sculptures bring us so much beauty. It's a shame it was so crowded and too hot in the museum.View original review in FrenchLefrançois

The passage was ultra fast and the control staff were very professional and understanding. I had forgotten my knife in my pocket, so I told them before going through the detector and they explained to me that they were going to accompany me to the cloakroom to drop it off... and of course pick it up when I left. As for the museum, it was just a delight and always full of emotion to see the masterpieces before us. In short, a very good afternoon.View original review in FrenchShirley

Not having to wait in the long queue was great. The Museum has so many famous paintings. If you're a French Impressionist fan this is the place to go.Nancy

Getting the fast track ticket allowed me to enter the Orsay within 10 minutes on a very busy day when the Louvre was closed during my only day in Paris. Despite the high volume of visitors, I enjoyed taking my time to view the impressionists which were wonderful. Fast Track tickets is a great way to avoid time standing in line. 😀Felicity

Tickets were sold out on museum website so luckily we were able to book some here. We could have joined the long line for those who had no tickets but it was a risk! Wonderful to behold the exquisite artworks within in the flesh. The cafe was very lovely too!
Established in 1986, the Orsay Museum is one of the newest museums in Paris but also one of the most important. It is an institution that houses paintings from one of the most influential periods of French Art — the Impressionist and Post-Impressionist eras of the late 19th Century.
Explore the artworks at your own pace
Once inside, you are free to explore the museum as you like. The exhibitions are arranged chronologically, with early 19th-century sculptures and classical paintings on the ground floor, leading up to the Impressionist paintings on the second and top floors. Most of the highlights of the Orsay Museum are on the top floor.
Explore an extensive collection of French Realist and Symbolist art and gain insights into the cultural and artistic developments of the late 19th century. Stroll throll exhibits with displays of sculptures and decorative arts, including furniture, and other artifacts from the Art Nouveau and Art Deco periods.
Magnificent inside and out!
At the Orsay Museum, you will not only see famous paintings but also have the chance to catch sweeping views of Paris from its top floor. One of the Orsay Museum’s best-kept secrets is its Terrasse d’Été, Summer Terrace — perched high above the city with lovely views of the Seine River, the Louvre, and in the distance, even Sacre Coeur perched high on its hill in Montmartre.
