About Arc de Triomphe
Construction for the beautiful Arc de Triomphe started in 1806 and was first intended to serve as a memorial to Napoleon's victorious army. The Arc de Triomphe, which combines a memorial and symbolic space inspired by the enormous arches seen throughout antiquity, has long been a significant part of the French national republican consciousness. The Tomb of the Soldier, located at the base of the arch, pays tribute to the 1.3 million French soldiers who died in World War I.
Why you should visit?
These tickets give you access to the rooftop from where you can witness the 12 Parisian Avenues radiate out of the city center! The Arc de Triomphe gives you a different perspective on Paris and is unique in comparison to the Eiffel Tower, and other attractions in the city. With the informative pamphlets available in 10 languages including English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Dutch, Japanese, Portuguese, Chinese, and Russian, learn about the monument's significant history and how its interiors commemorate various military victories.
