Pro tips to help you make a pick

The Paris Pantheon is a popular Parisian attraction, so book your tickets online and well in advance (3–4 days), to skip waiting in long queues.

While your ticket grants you entry to the main building, including the tombs and Foucault's Pendulum, it doesn't include access to the rooftop. Tickets for rooftop access should be purchased separately.

Your entry ticket includes a visitor's guide in 12 languages to help you navigate the monument. Additionally, audio guides and guided tours can be purchased at the monument for an additional cost.

Entry to the Paris Pantheon is free on European Heritage Days, the first Sunday of every month between November 1-March 31, and for visitors aged 18 and under, and EU/non-EU residents in France aged between 18-25 years.

About Paris Pantheon

The Panthéon, a revered architectural masterpiece in the heart of Paris, is a testament to French history and intellectual prowess. It's also home to incredible artworks, such as the fresco "The Apotheosis of Saint Genevieve" by Antoine Gros. Discover the landmark with a visitor's guide on your side!

Did you know?

During the early 2000s, a secretive group called UX (Urban eXperiment) secretly built an underground cinema inside the Panthéon, complete with a screen, seating, and electricity. They were discovered in 2006.

The Panthéon's dome is three domes nested inside one another, creating an optical illusion when viewed from different angles. This gives the impression that it shifts and "breathes" as you move around it.

The Panthéon initially honored only men until 1995, when Marie Curie became the first woman entombed for her achievements in physics and chemistry.

From 1790 to 1889, the Panthéon held the distinction of being the tallest structure in Paris until the completion of the Eiffel Tower.

The Panthéon has a grave labeled Don Carlos, son of Charles III of Spain, but it's not the actual historical figure. Instead, it's a tribute to the Don Carlos character from Friedrich Schiller's play of the same name.

Why visit Paris Pantheon?

Imposing Architecture

The Panthéon boasts Neo-classical architecture, soaring domes, and Corinthian columns, which pay tribute to the original Roman Panthéon. The monument's opulence and façade are a testament to the enduring brilliance of French design.

Rich History

Panthéon serves as the eternal resting place for important personages such as Voltaire, Rousseau, and Marie Curie. Each tomb echoes with the intellectual and cultural resonance of their contributions.

Celestial Observatory

A unique facet of the Panthéon's legacy is its role as a celestial observatory. Beyond its mausoleum function, it stands as a nod to scientific exploration, adding an astronomical dimension to its cultural eminence.

Breathtaking Views of the City

The colonnade of the Panthéon's restored dome offers 360-degree views of Paris, offering you a chance to see all the top monuments and Parisian landmarks from a bird's-eye view.

Treasure Trove of Art

The Panthéon features stunning frescoes, including "The Apotheosis of Saint Genevieve" by Antoine Gros, which depicts the patron saint of Paris ascending to heaven. It's also home to several sculptures, including the famous statue of Saint Genevieve.

The sightseeing cruise on the Seine River was a beautiful and unforgettable experience. Departing from the Eiffel Tower gives it a special charm from the very beginning. Cruising down the river allowed us to enjoy spectacular views of Paris in a peaceful and very pleasant atmosphere. I recommend buying tickets through the Headout website, as it saves time and avoids queues. The service was very good and the tour was full of magical moments. The cruise facilities were very beautiful, with optional meals and spectacular views. I went with my husband and would definitely do it again. It's a highly recommended experience to enjoy and fall even more in love with Paris.

Unfortunately, we weren't able to use our five reservations as planned. Since we were traveling from out of town that day, our train was canceled. It was a disappointment for all of us. Fortunately, I saw that I could use my reservations on another date of my choice. Thank you for making things easier for us.

Great price, terrible instructions for ND users. As it is far from clear how you do things to access each element of location. Pre-booking requirements would be much easier if they had an interface from the pass, rather than having to navigate all the sites and register accounts repeating the same details numerous times!
