My girlfriend was screaming at me on the Tuc Tuc because of the traffic and we got lost and the man in the Tuc Tuc tried to bring us to his home. But other than this the Palace Pena was a great experience. Thanks to the Tuc Tuc we made in time 👍

No problems with tickets from headout. The issues are more around the stress caused by getting to the experience in the right time frame, or else your tickets will not be accepted. The palace is up a big hill, you need a bus or taxi to get there. The Uber had trouble finding us, and we were very stressed. The palace was also very busy, and we were there on a Monday!

Despite drizzly dreary weather, we found the palace and park beautiful. The signage was helpful in understanding the history within the palace. We went for a walk to the cross in the park and wanted to head back to the exit/bus stop another way and struggled with the map we had taken a picture of and the signage within the park. Maybe there was another more detailed map available that we didn't see or find. We found lots of little treasures, ponds fountains etc in the park, but struggled to find our way to the exit. Would come to a road or path and trying to decide left/right and uphill/downhill but weren't quite sure. So wish we could have accessed a more detailed map. Otherwise awesome!

Did not enjoy the huge amounts of people allowed inside on each time slot. Getting pushed from behind by other guests and the staff shouting to move along. Wanting to move forward but unable to. Treated like a herd of cattle. Not an enjoyable experience at all. Would definitely recommend to anyone who asks to skip the interior and just take it in from outside

Far too many people allowed in at the same time . Staff miserable and at times hostile I only asked where the toilet was . Simple question . No need for rudeness at that point - wished I'd p---- over his feet now . Shame .Sintra is fascinating . Had to pee in the bushes as he wouldn't let me in even though I could see it !

Please note that the attraction may be crowded, expect a considerable wait time.
Note that you must enter Pena Palace (not the gate, but the Palace) at the time slot assigned to you, or you may not be able to access the venue.
Please note that you will have to enter from the house tour entrance and not the main gate.
The path from the entry to the Park to the Palace is around 30 mins walking. This ticket includes the entry for Pena Palace only. Do plan your visit with enough time to arrive at Pena Palace on time.
There is an expected wait time of 15-20 mins at the entrance/security.
Kindly ensure that you arrive 15 mins before the start time of your tour to avoid any delays.
Please note that access to this monument is not authorized to private vehicles. It is recommended to use the pedestrian trails available or public transportation.
You can park your car in the historic center of Sintra or the peripheral car parks available.
If the transport option is selected, the transfers included for this experience are between the main entrance of the Park and the Palace.
Pena Palace is in Sintra, about 30 kilometers from Lisbon.
There are parking lots at the park entrance but may be limited depending on the number of visitors.
Reduced price tickets for children aged 6-18 and seniors aged 65+ are available onsite.
