Highlights

  • Getting up close with koalas in their natural habitat – that's an experience you'll only get at the Koala Conservation Reserve at Philip Island.

  • Stroll along the two treetop boardwalks and amidst the woodland as you keep a lookout for wallabies, echidnas, and colorful native birds.

  • The star attraction: the Phillip Island Penguin Parade! Just after dark, hundreds of the world's smallest penguins waddle ashore after a day of fishing at sea.

  • Upgrade your ticket to include a Penguins Plus or Underground Viewing Experience and enjoy the Penguin Parade from an exclusive observing area.

  • Fun fact: Koalas nap for up to 20 hours daily, conserving energy due to their low-nutrition eucalyptus diet. Watch them snooze when you visit!

The penguins were cute and we got great views of them, particularly on the boardwalk. Koala conservation had some close up koalas to photograph which was great. Churchill island was very enjoyable and informative. The three park pass is great value

All three experiences were amazing! We loved Phillip Island. *also, just to let you know, you sent us the wrong address for the Koala Centre. It took us to a wildlife sanctuary that wasn't included in the package. We had to ask someone else for the address.

Churchill island Farm sits on a breathtaking piece of land with gorgeous views! Loved the animals and reading about the history. The Koala Conservation Reserve gave us a chance to see koalas, wallabies and an echidna up close. Just fantastic! At the Penguin Parade, we held our breath waiting for the penguins to return to their babies. We were situated in front of the device that weighs and scans the penguins upon their return to land. It was fascinating! And we also visited the Nobbies along the way. Phillip Island is a definite must see! ❤️

I felt Churchhill Island was brilliant. So much to see of our history. Little disappointed with the penguins only saw 20 penguins and told no photos. A long way to travel from Brisbane. I felt the lights that were up were bright and more frightening for them. Koala ? Thank you Christina

Immersive australian wildlife experience

Experience the magic of the Australian bush at the Koala Conservation Reserve on Phillip Island as you immerse yourself in the natural habitat of Australia's beloved koalas. Start your adventure by strolling along the treetop boardwalks, where you’ll come face-to-face with these adorable creatures going about their daily routine of eating and sleeping. As you meander through the bushland, keep an eye and ear out for other native wildlife. You might catch a glimpse of wallabies hopping about or echidnas shuffling through the undergrowth. And don't miss the melodious chorus of colorful native birds, their cheerful birdsong echoing through the trees.

Learn and contribute to wildlife conservation

Post your stroll, head over to the visitor center to indulge in interactive displays and learn interesting facts about the lives of koalas. The reserve isn't just about viewing wildlife, but also protecting it. By visiting the Koala Conservation Reserve, you're contributing to the protection of these animals and their habitat, truly making this visit a fulfilling one. Before you leave, participate in a small but significant environmental activity: Plant a seed at the Seed Station to take home, a wonderful souvenir, and a personal contribution to nature and wildlife.
