Ticketing experience was ok the experience with the penguin was really good but we will come in summer as it was a bit cold

The experience seeing the little penguins was ruined by inconsiderate people bringing food, this brought pooing swooping disgusting seagulls. Also no matter how many times the guides reinforced the "NO PHOTOS" rule, it was only the Non English speaking people deliberately breaking the rules, hovering excessively not allowing other especially children to view the penguins.

Penguin parade is a must to do whilst you are in Phillip island. Purchase your tickets via online,best way to go straight through to the beach without delay.

Loved being in the underground bunker getting up close view of the penguins as they marched home. Shame about all the very loud overseas visitors who continously ignored the no photo rule.

Seeing the little penguins, however, there was no need to get there so early. Also, people were taking photos when they were specifically told NOT to and the staff seemed reluctant to make them stop.

Your experience

Every morning, little penguins (they're only a bit taller than bowling pins!) depart from their burrow and spend the day fishing at sea. During the course of the day, they will travel up to 20km in search of fish. After dusk, they return home and waddle across the beach in a penguin parade. It's one of the cutest displays of wildlife you will get to see. The sheer quantity of the penguins will surprise you, and you will be able to see them easily from the platform you have chosen during checkout. The best part is that the park is accessible within 90 minutes from Melbourne, and is an attraction that both adults and kids alike will enjoy!

You can pack a raincoat or umbrella if rain is predicted.

What's not allowed

Photographs and video recordings are not allowed when penguins are coming home, because the artificial light sources will stimulate the eyes of the penguins. The island implements light control at this time.
Big bags are not permitted. Only small carry-on bags are allowed inside.
