Why You Should Watch Goldilocks and the Three Bears
Why You Should Watch Goldilocks and the Three Bears
A quintessential British Christmas activity, pantomimes are very entertaining. This is an all-new take on the classic Goldilocks and the Three Bears that showcases a multitude of techniques that make pantomimes so delightful. It features a star-studded cast with the Good and Bad Ringmasters being played by Julian Clary and Paul O’Grady respectively. This is the fourth year since the return of the London Palladium’s pantomime and is directed by Michael Harrison. The show is directed by Michael Harrison, choreographed by Karen Bruce, and the set is designed by Ian Westbrook. The original music for the show is composed by Gary Hind. The pantomime also stars Matt Baker as Joey the Clown, Gary Wilmot as Dame Betty, Paul Zerdin as Silly Billy, and Nigel Havers as Daddy Bear.
The Story
While the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears is incredibly popular across the globe, this show has an interesting twist. It takes some creative freedom by setting the story in the circus instead of a forest. Goldilocks and her mother, Dame Betty Barnum, attempt to defeat the Evil Ringmaster, their rival, and his band of circus acts. Find out if the duo can reign victorious over their arch-nemesis, or will they taste defeat with their circus falling apart?
