Rodgers & Hammerstein’s South Pacific

Julian Ovenden stars, rejoice! The Bridgerton and Downtown Abbey star is all set to reprise his role as the expatriate French plantation owner Emile de Becque, along with Gina Beck as the spirited American nurse Ensign Nellie Forbush. Love blooms between the two against the beautiful backdrop of the South Pacific island, but the budding romance is threatened by Ensign's struggles to accept Emile's mixed-race children.

Enjoy the masterful direction of Daniel Evans, who has productions such as Me and My Girl and Fiddler on the Roof under his belt. The musical also features one of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s most beloved scores, with songs such as ‘Some Enchanted Evening’, ‘I’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair’ and ‘Bali Ha’I’. After a sold-out run at Chichester Festival Theatre, the five-star production is looking to repeat the success at West End, especially with a limited season.
