The highly anticipated Once Upon a Mattress, a rib-tickling musical is back for its run in New York and you don't want to miss it!
Why watch Once Upon a Mattress
Why watch Once Upon a Mattress
The beloved musical comedy returns to Broadway after its last run in 1996 featuring two-time Tony® winner Sutton Foster, known for her roles in Grease, Little Women, and others in the role of Princess Winnifred the Woebegone. The New York Times described her performance as "ebullient, joyful, perfectly goofy."
Fresh from its highly successful New York City Center Encores! stint and adapted by Amy Sherman-Palladino, creator of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, this New York Times Critic’s Pick introduces the eccentric Princess Winnifred to a kingdom stifled by tradition. Five-time Drama Desk Award nominee Jack Cummings III directs the production and you must not miss this laughter-riot!
The story
A rather unique-natured Princess Winnifred goes all out to break the monotony with her vivacious energy, only to pursue her prince charming, Prince Dauntless. Watch as she captivates with her charm, delights with her humor, and dances her way into hearts and onto a towering stack of mattresses.
