The bus trip around the city and past major sights is a good way to get a feel for the city and where the sights are located. The cost is within reason and the Hop On Hop Off folks on the bus friendly and helpful. Suggestions for improvements: 1) The route map is somewhat confusing and an revamping might be in order. 2) The animated orientation map, showing 'your' bus location is pretty difficult to follow. Therefore the number of the Hop Off spot the bus is approaching is not always clear (unfortunately, the live announcements on the bus are not always clear. Uber, Free Now and other ride services seem to have this more under control. 3) It would be great if there could be a way to use the App to provide a reasonable estimate arrival time at a pick up location. (I know, traffic and other things make this difficult, but there is room for improvement.) Nevertheless, we used Hop On Hop Off in Genoa, Rome and Naples.

We loved the bus tour, both blue and red line. But the waiting time at the first (cruise) stop was so long, had to wait for 3 busses to step in the heat without sitting down.

I am visiting from the Bahamas and was frustrated because I couldn't find a physical booth to purchase tickets. So I went online and after that my experience was nothing short of awesome. I got a 48 hour ticket but was sble to do both the red and blue tours in one day. I t was amazing!!!

Buenos los recorridos. Pero poca informacion del guia . En partes quedamos sin audio y solo estaba el chofer. Nadie avisaba las paradas.

Las rutas son muy buenas ya que podes tener una idea general de la ciudad. Pero los buses andan muy rápido y las explicaciones en cada punto confusas ya que por ahi dicen: a la derecha podemos ver .... y en realidad es a la izquierda y, ademas, por la velocidad del bus, la explicacion comienza en el punto de interes pero en unos segundos ya estas lejos del mismo. Por otra parte, la parte superior del bus tiene una proteccion (techo) que no es necesaria o, al menos, podría ser mas traslúcida, ya que no se puede ver atraves de ello y te perdes muchas buenas vistas.

A wheelchair will be allowed onboard only in case the bus is equipped with a footboard and a dedicated space for a wheelchair. Buses are equipped with space for one wheelchair.

The ticket is valid for 24 hours meaning if you begin at 1pm today, you can use the ticket until 1pm tomorrow. Similarly, the 48-hr ticket must be used within 2 consecutive days.
