Wejście było łatwe - jednak mogło nie być potrzebne pominięcie biletu kolejki, gdy byliśmy tam w Nowy Rok - przez większą część roku może być tłoczno, ale sprawdź - może po prostu potrzebować zwykłego biletu. Jednak dzięki temu było to łatwe i gwarantowane przyjemne doświadczenie.

Kaplica książąt Medyceuszy i kaplice Michała Anioła były po prostu inspirujące! Cudownie było zostać powitanym przez personel, który nadal był przyjazny i miły po tym, co musiało być tak bardzo zajętym sezonem turystycznym. Dlatego właśnie kochamy Włochy i wciąż tam wracamy!

It was so easy we were lucky there was no queues at all so we didn't need skip the queue in the end but was very straightforward and easy to get tickets we didn't have to redeem them just show at entrance which was perfect as it saved lots of time.

In truth there was no need for skip the line. I think that the Medici chapel is not on the agenda of many tourists. Which is shame because it's breathtaking. Not at all spectacular on the outside but incredible on the inside, with its all marble walls.

This historic crypt serves as the final resting place for Medici family members, offering insights into their lifestyles and the mysteries surrounding their demise.

Michelangelo's New Sacristy

Designed by Michelangelo, the Sagrestia Nuova is a 16th-century addition to the Basilica, created to honor members of the Medici family. Along the way, you’ll see how Michelangelo brilliantly combined architecture and sculpture to reflect his take on human existence. Although Michelangelo left the chapel unfinished in 1534, the work that remains is a testament to his genius.

Chapel of the Princes: A grand mausoleum

End with a visit to the Chapel of the Princes, a magnificent octagonal mausoleum decorated with stunning gemstones and exquisite marbles. Featuring a large dome, the chapel stands as a testament to the Medici family's wealth and influence.

Large bags, suitcases, and backpacks are not allowed.
Consumption of food and drinks is not permitted inside the Chapels.
Photography is prohibited inside the Medici Chapels.

The tour is wheelchair accessible.

Additional notes

Dress appropriately by covering shoulders and knees otherwise you will be refused entry.
The chapels are equipped with toilets and restrooms, including wheelchair accessible washrooms. Changing tables are also available.
A limited number of lockers are available to store belongings. You’re required to pay a €1 deposit if you want to use them. The deposit will be returned when you leave the attraction.
Check out the bookstore, situated toward the exit, for multilingual museum guides, art publications, and souvenirs.
