Lisboa Story Centre

An engaging museum, the Lisboa Story Centre holds displays, moving pictures, and animations that recount the city's 2500+ years of history. The municipal hall, originally constructed in the 18th century, has been completely renovated to serve as the museum.

The great earthquake of 1755, the Era of Discoveries, the city's golden age in the 18th century, and the post-earthquake restoration are all covered in the permanent display. There's also a VR area where people can get a first-person perspective on the city's past. This is a fantastic approach to becoming acquainted with Lisbon's rich cultural heritage and historical evolution.

Rua Augusta Arch

Located on the bustling Praça do Comércio plaza, the Rua Augusta Arch is a must-see landmark in the Portuguese capital. Reconstructing the city after the devastating earthquake of 1755 inspired its development in the nineteenth century. The triumphal Arch, forming a magnificent entryway to the city, represents Lisbon’s resilience and the efforts made to recover from the calamity it saw.
