Hannes Minnaar Plays Mozart's Piano Concert No. 22

Born on December 26th, 1984, Hanner started playing the piano aged 7. Hannes graduated college from Amsterdam, performing many shows since. He’s part of a trio called Van Baerle Trio and received the Kersjes of Groenekan Prize in 2012. He also won 1st place at the Rotterdam Piano Three Days and The Princess Christina Concert. In 2016 he was awarded the Dutch Music Prize, the highest accolade given to classical musicians in Netherlands - making him the only pianist to do so in 29 years.

A Sunday morning concert with classical music, beloved compositions and top musicians in the country. There will be two main pieces performed.

Piano Concerto No. 22 by Mozart

Scored for a piano and an orchestra by the legendary virtuoso Mozart in 1785, the piece has 3 movements. Tightly structured and eloquent, the concerto follows a cyclic movement adding depth to the score.

Symphony No.8 by Beethoven

Beethoven referred to his 8th Symphony as ‘My Little Symphony in F’. Light-heartedness, cheerfully loud and accented notes are what this symphony is built on. The score forms 4 movements, deviating from the Classical tradition.
