It was a stunning place to visit and you could really spend hours exploring and hanging out there in nature... I will definitely be going back!

Reserving online a combined discounted ticket for Quinta da Regaleira and Monserrate palaces in Sintra was a great decision. We skipped the ticket office queue and we could directly enter the palaces without any delay and waste of time. Both palaces are breath taking. It's definitely worth the visit!

The palace is in very good condition after the renovation! We also loved the gardens, which are varied and beautifully maintained. A point of improvement would be the parking zone. We arrived early (9:30 AM) and didn't have any difficulty finding a spot, but when we left two hours later, it was quite a chaos with all the cars looking to find a spot.

Gostei de todos os recantos e o audioguia foi muito útil. Gostaria de deixar, no entanto, alguns problemas: necessita de mais informações para a localização pois passamos facilmente pelo local de carro e não há um placard bem visível com o nome da quinta. Não há informações para quem vai com viatura própria para parques de estacionamento. Também caresse de informação no site sobre os acessos e meios de transporte disponíveis nos diversos meios.

Zwei aussergewöhnliche Sehenswürdigkeiten im besonderen Sintra, das man eigentlich nicht nur in einem Tag erkunden kann/sollte. Es gibt viele einzigartige Orte zu besuchen, die nicht alle einfach zu erreichen sind, da einige davon in ziemlicher Höhe liegen. Die Strassen sind eng, stark befahren und oft Einbahnstrassen. Es empfiehlt sich Wanderwege abseits der Strasse zu benützen und viel Zeit einzuberechnen, um zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten zu gelangen. Uber (nicht alle Fahrer:innen sind ortskundig, was dazu führen kann, das ein Ziel nicht erreicht wird), der lokale Taxidienst sowie öffentliche Busse helfen. Wir empfehlen mindestens zwei Übernachtungen und seine sehr wohl überlegte Planung der Besuche von Sehenswürdigkeiten aufgrund der geografischen Situation bzw. der Distanzen. Die maurische Burg ist sehr gut erhalten und atemberaubend. Monserrat ist ein spezielles Haus mitten in einer weitläufigen Oase. Die Buchung über headout hat bestens geklappt, die Tickets konnten auch ohne WLAN auf der App heruntergeladen werden.

You don’t need to be a historian or an architectural aficionado to know that Monserrate Palace is a work of art. A summer residence bearing witness to the eclectic tastes of a bygone era with the main halls adorned with alabaster statues and decorative symbols. Ornate details never give the impression of being over the top, reflecting Indian and Moorish influences, that come together to birth beautiful design.

On entry, you’ll receive a map that will allow you to truly get into the skin of the place. The best way to go about your tour would be to start by exploring the garden, through the scenic path. Along this winding path, you will see contrasting sceneries with waterfalls, ruined chapels, age-old araucarias, and palm trees. Home to 3,000 exotic species and separated by geographical areas, the garden offers a lens into the diverse origins of plants in the world.
