Nie udało nam się odwiedzić muzeum Coreer. Przewodnik nie zasugerował również biblioteki. Mój mąż i ja stwierdziliśmy, że przewodnik był nieciekawy; spędzała dużo czasu na rzeczach, które nie były warte uwagi, a następnie przechodziła do innych, które były. Nie poszliśmy też na górę do bazyliki.

Wycieczka była podzielona na dwie części. Najpierw przedstawiciel odprowadził nas ze stoiska do Pałacu Dożów, gdzie spotkaliśmy się z przewodnikiem. Mogliśmy spotkać się w Pałacu. Przewodnik był miły, ale czasami trudno go było usłyszeć i zrozumieć. Słuchawki były dobrej jakości. Pod koniec wycieczki grupa miała 30 minut wolnego, a następnie zgłosiła się z powrotem do stoiska, w którym zebrała się wycieczka po Bazylice i przeszła na początek wycieczki po Bazylice. Strata czasu na 3-godzinną wycieczkę. Wycieczka po Bazylice była bardzo powierzchowna, przewodnik wydawał się chcieć jak najszybciej skończyć. Pokazano nam Ca'Doro objęte wycieczką i wycieczka miała się tam zakończyć. Czuliśmy, że wycieczka powinna być dłuższa, więc kupiliśmy bilet na balkon i do muzeum podczas pobytu w Bazylice i bardzo się cieszymy, że to zrobiliśmy. Jest to miejsce, w którym można zobaczyć z bliska niektóre mozaiki kopuły, bardzo różniące się od oglądania z głównego piętra. Balkon zapewnia bliższe widoki na wieżę zegarową i plac. Cieszę się, że zwiedzaliśmy na własną rękę, to tylko 7 euro więcej, nie byliśmy zbyt pewni, co zobaczymy, ale to była najlepsza część. Odwiedzający powinni być zachęcani do zobaczenia tego, ale prawie o tym nie wspomniano. Przepraszamy tych, którzy nie widzieli wszystkich skarbów Bazyliki.

Explore St. Mark's Basilica

After the palace, walk into Venice’s most majestic cathedral; St Mark’s Basilica. Lay your eyes on masterpieces of Byzantine art, colorful marble installations, and shimmering gold mosaic art. Squinting your eyes when you enter the Basilica is only natural, thanks to the shimmering mosaics made with 24-carat gold leaves fused onto the back of the glass to exhibit divine light. For security reasons sacks, bags, or knapsacks are not allowed inside both Doge’s Palace and St. Mark’s Basilica. You can deposit your belongings for free at Doge's Palace.

St. Mark's Basilica

Strict dress code: All guests must wear clothing that covers their shoulders and knees to enter the basilica.
Keep your camera tucked away – photography is strictly not allowed at the venue.

Doge's Palace

Shutterbugs, take note: Flash photography, tripods, selfie sticks, and any type of commercial photography is a no-go inside the venue.

Accessibility

Both venues are wheelchair and pram/stroller accessible.

St. Mark's Basilica

A ramp is available at the Porta del Fiori (Door of Flowers) entrance on the left-hand side of the basilica.
The Museum on the upper floor of the basilica is served by both a lift and stair lifts.

Doge's Palace

Please note that the Secret Itineraries, Prisons and Armory are not wheelchair accessible.
