Skydiving over Great Ocean Road
Skydiving over Great Ocean Road offers a heart-pounding mix of adrenaline and unparalleled views for both first-timers and experienced skydivers. Secured to a certified instructor, you'll ascend in a plane, witnessing the iconic coastline shrink beneath you. Bells Beach, a surfer's haven, transforms into a tiny crescent. As you reach altitude (either 8,000 or 15,000 feet), the anticipation intensifies.
The door slides open, and a rush of wind signals the jump. The freefall is the undeniable highlight. For 20-60 seconds, you'll plummet toward the earth at over 200 kilometers per hour.
Maximum safety
But the adventure doesn't end there. After the initial adrenaline surge, your instructor deploys the parachute, and a peaceful descent begins. This calmer phase allows you to truly appreciate the panorama. The Great Ocean Road unfolds beneath you, a ribbon of asphalt winding along the dramatic coastline. The turquoise waters of the Southern Ocean contrast with the lush green hinterland, creating a breathtaking scene. Appreciate the views of the surfing mecca Torquay and the golden beaches from your aerial vantage point.
