Your Experience
Your Experience
Tokyo’s Samurai Museum brilliantly captures the lives of Japan’s fabled honor-bound warriors with an array of exhibits, shows, and activities. Begin by examining some of the meticulously well-maintained katanas, wakizashi, and armor sets. Short 20-minute long group tours are available at regular intervals.
You can put on authentic samurai kabuto (helmet) and jinbaori (battle coat) and take pictures of yourself. At 2 PM, 3 PM, 4 PM, and 5 PM, a 15-minute swordfight will be performed by professionals in traditional Japanese attire. If prior reservations are made, you may also take part in Samurai Calligraphy lessons. You can also buy passes for a Japanese Sword lecture by Mr. Paul Martin and a Samurai Live Music Show if you are intent on delving deeper into Samurai culture.
