Know before you go

Seamless activation

Your Eurail Pass is fully mobile! Activate it in the Rail Planner App using the Pass Number from your confirmation email.
After activation, add your journey to get a QR code ticket in the app that must be presented to the inspectors at the station.
Don’t forget to reserve seats for trains that require bookings—do it early via the Rail Planner app!

What's not allowed

This pass cannot be sold or used by residents of Europe, the Russian Federation, and Turkey.

Additional information

The pass isn't valid in your country of residence, except for two journeys -- one to leave and one to return.
Seat/bed reservations for mandatory trains are an extra cost and may be limited, so booking in advance via the Rail Planner app or at the station is recommended.
The passes are valid for 15, 22 days, 1, 2 or 3 months continuously after activation. You can use your pass to travel every day within that period.
The pass must be activated through the Rail Planner App within 11 months after the date of purchase and before the first travel.
