The gallery was amazing but what enhanced our trip was the fabulous guide Rachel whose knowledge of the history of art really made it a special trip as she pointed out the paintings she loved and gave us real insight into the work of the Renaissance artists.

Seeing the real David, Michelangelo's "unfinished" sculptures and other works was priceless. However, our guide had a very strong accent and we only understood about 20% of what she said.

Very beautiful museum. The collection is of course unique, but it is above all the building itself that is unrivalled. An absolute must for any visit to Florence! The Auidio guide contains very little information about the exhibits. There are very few works that are described anyway. The app is not easy to use and almost impossible to use online. I only lost nerves and time. Simply wasted money. I just had to buy the audio guide in the museum again (6 euros, with lots of detailed reports).

Keine Wartezeiten beim Eintritt in die Uffizien, nur beim Besichtigen der Tribuna mussten wir warten, war alles sehr beeindruckend und man muss ca. 3 Stunden Zeit einplanen wenn man alles sehen möchte.

Thankfully, your timed entry tickets prevent this hassle. A set number of visitors are allowed in at once, so you can skip the ticket line, trade your voucher for physical tickets, and swiftly enter. Despite some potential waiting, it's much quicker than the regular entry. After voucher exchange and security check, you can simply walk right in!

Then you are free to stay and explore the intricacies of the various compositions on display and marvel at the work of genius artists like Da Vinci, Raffaello, Masaccio, Cimabue, and Giotto. Visit the Botticelli room and admire the Birth of Venus and Primavera, two of the most famous examples of Italian Renaissance art. What's not allowed

Re-entry is not allowed once you leave the gallery.
The following are not allowed in the venue: Flash photography, Outside food and drink, Drones, and Pets (except service animals with advance notice).

Additional information

Every first Sunday of the month, the museum follows normal opening hours and entry is free for everyone.
All visitors must leave umbrellas, large bags, and backpacks in the cloakroom located near the museum entrance. The use of the cloakroom is free.
Please note that all visitors to the museum must go through the security check. At the busiest times, the line for the check takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes.
Children aged 18 years and under can enter the gallery for free. You can issue these tickets on the day of your visit, at the same desk where adults exchange their mobile vouchers.
